 THE LOVER’S DANCE

Two steps forward, one step back,
Love is – a lot like that.
Twirl around and tippy toe,
Backward, forward, to and fro.

Arm in arm, twist and turn,
That’s the only way to learn.
Hold on tight and turn around,
Then your hearts – hit the ground.

That’s the dance that lover’s do,
Turn again, and then you’re blue.
One more time around the bend,
To give your hearts a chance to mend.

Side step, side step, dance all night,
To the left and to the right.
Slower, slower, dancing tighter,
Bodies touching, hearts on fire.

Making love as you dance,
Kissing, necking as you prance.
You hold her and she holds you,
And dance the dance of love anew.
